Samuel Steven Henry's Obituary
Samuel Steven Henry, 61, a resident of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully under the care of Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, FL on October 29,2022.
Steve was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 1, 1961. He graduated from Hallandale High School, Miami Fl, in 1979. In the 80’s, Steve moved with his family to Sanibel, FL. He dedicated over 30 years to the City of Sanibel Public Works as the Street Superintendent. Steve had a passion for fishing and the water was his favorite place to be. His free time was spent in the Florida Keys fishing the Reefs and the Gulfstream with his famous words “5 more minutes”. Steve will be remembered as a kind and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Stewart Henry.
Steve is survived by his loving mother, Marguerite Henry of Fort Myers, FL; two brothers, Patrick Henry, and Michael Henry both of Fort Myers, FL; one niece, Kayla Henry of Fort Myers, FL; two nephews, Craig and Jacob Henry both of Fort Myers, FL; four great nieces and nephews, Zoey, Mason, Conner and Logan; as well as one great nephew on the way, Carson and many friends.
