Samuel J. King's Obituary
Samuel J. King, 70, of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023. Sam was born May 19, 1953, to William and Margaret (Tomasic) King in Pittsburgh, PA.
Sam and his wife of 41 years Trina have called Florida their home since 2019. Sam loved to watch the birds and nature happen all around while in PA, but he found his favorite past time was to watch the beautiful clouds of Florida fly by. Sam was dedicated to children and how important education was, he served as a principal for the Franklin Regional School District in Murrysville, PA. Sam was an Elder of Homestead Presbyterian church when he lived up North. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing softball for the Homestead Presbyterian Church, known as the Presbys, and US Steel Shippers, coaching boys baseball, officiating at various basketball games, an avid pickleball player, and enjoyed being a member of the TR6 Club. He was a devoted Steelers and Mountaineers fan!
Sam is preceded in passing by his parents, sisters Sally Pietryga and Linda Kosmal.
Sam leaves his loving memory with his survivors, wife Trina, daughter Nicole King, son Zachary (Christine) King, his grandchildren Maddox King and Izabela King, and his brother William "Bill" King.
Sam's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. At this time there are no services scheduled.
