Sara Howse Herman's Obituary
Sara Howse Herman, 97, passed away February 8, 2014. She was born July 31, 1916 in Hugo, Oklahoma to the late, Rueben and Aurelia (Milam) Howse. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by all six of her sisters including her twin Sue. Mrs. Herman and her husband Ben moved to and worked in Chicago until their retirement in 1974. She was active with the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral. She worked every Wednesday night there with the children’s ministry. Sara was an avid fisherman, crafter and puzzle builder. Her faith in God was constant and the church was the center of her life. She will be missed by all. Left to cherish her memory, is the love of her life for 76 years, Ben P. Herman; son Ben H. Herman and his wife Betty; grandchildren, Holly Powell (Russell), Benjamin A. Herman, Robert Herman (Tiffanie), Emily Rutkowski and Paul Rutkowski; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ryan Powell, Shea, Benjamin, Matthew and Emma Herman. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral, 4117 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. Funeral will begin at 11:00 AM followed by entombment at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
