Scott Gordon Swanson's Obituary
Scott Gordon Swanson, 53, a resident of Claudeville, VA passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 in Virginia. He was born November 18, 1965 in Waukesha, WI.Scott was an avid Jeff Gordon fan never missing a single race televised and traveled often to the various tracks. An accomplished automotive technician, working for Ford Motor Company and alongside of his father at home and in the shop. He enjoyed fishing and had a passion for all living creatures; never lived without a four legged companion at his side, most recently his best friend “Chopper” the last of all of his rescued k-9’s. Anyone that met Scott discovered a friend for life offering support, advice and even his last dollar for a cup of coffee or meal gladly he gave without expectation for return. We will never forget this wonderful man, those who knew him all understand. Those that had the privilege to know Scott found life held just a little more marvel, joy, love, laughter, adventure free from worry, free from care, free from sorrow, lived in moments of sunlight brought by his smile although it shown just For a while we all felt it lasted for miles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Swanson and his sister, Brenda Reed.Scott is survived by his father, Gordon S. Swanson (Joyce) of Spring Hill, FL; six siblings, Troy Swanson of Bradenton, FL, Dawn Humble of Claudville, VA, Georgia Letsos of Chicago, IL, Peter W. Letsos of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Angelo W. Letsos of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Christopher Letsos of West Palm Beach, FL; four nephews, Blake Swanson of Bradenton, FL, Luke Swanson of Bradenton, FL, Ryan Humble of Virginia and Jeremy Humble of Virginia; as well as many extended family members and friends.A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM up until the service time at the funeral home.
