My Dad was his patient, and later I was his patient also. He had always been nice, and caring. I will always remember his careness, and beyond… to his patients.
Years before when I was under a lot of stress due to the emotion from having hyperthyroidisms, and going to doctors for all the tests. My first day seeing him, I busted in tears knowing I had to go for more blood test, and all costed so much ( because the doctor I saw before gave orders for tests, then I need to come to the office to know the results, and had to pay again) He patiently explained to him that once this under control I would have more quality of life. Not only that, he went beyond asking his staffs to give me discount which I didn’t know untill months later I was curious why my copay was that little. The staffs let me know that was dr Mather gave the discount. He did the kindness, and didn’t need the person to recognize it. When the results from the blood tests came, he would had his staffs to call me to let me know how the results were, and adjust the dose accordingly without me needed to come to the office, and pay. I always think very highly of him.
I moved, and had to change dr. But I always think of him, and wonder how he is doing, and if he still works. Today I search his name up, and saw that the office was closed. I searched more and hoped to see the year he retired. My hear sank to know he passed. I will always miss him, think of him highly, and remember there was a such kind person. Rest in peace dr Mather. Your kindness means a lot to me, and I don’t think you ever know.
Your patient.
