Sharon Kay Goode's Obituary
Sharon Kay Goode, of Fort Myers, passed peacefully on December 25, 2022. Sharon was born July 9, 1940, to William and Dorothy (Hunt) Pitser in Muncie, Indiana.
In 1942, Sharons parents moved from Muncie to Keego Harber, MI. During their time in Keego Harbor, Sharon attended grade school and middle school at Roosevelt School. She then graduated from West Bloomfield High School with Honors in 1958. Shortly after graduation she married her love of her life William (Chuck) C. Goode on August 30,1958. Sharon and Chuck lived in the Keego- Waterford, Mich area until 1967. They then moved to St. Clair, MI, there they raised their family and devoted their faith to First Baptist of St. Clair.
Later on, Sharon opened her craft supply store, Ye Old Knit-N-Needlin Shop, in 1976 which she ran until 1986. In her shop many would find lovely colorful fabric and soft yarns, a dream for any crafter. Sharon then began her pursuit into the nursing field in 1988. She began working at River District Hospital from January 1990. Sharon's passion for nursing came to an unexpected halt when she endured a massive stroke in July 1990. After she recovered from her stroke, Sharon continued her passion for craft, ceramics, and bowling. Sharon and her husband relocated to Florida in 2005 and have called Florida their home ever since.
Sharon is preceded in passing by her parents and her daughter Kimberlee A. Goode.
