Sharon Kay Oleksa's Obituary
SHARON KAY OLEKSA (ANDERSON) 77 of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully December 27, 2017.She was the daughter of the late T. Wendell and Maxine Anderson (McFarland) and preceding her in death are sister Shirley Van Cleave and brother Kenneth Anderson.Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years Richard J. “Dick” Oleksa, son Richard (Michelle) of Clovis, CA, daughter Denise of Fort Myers, FL and son Kenneth of Fort Myers, FL. Eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Dana, Ryan, Ashlyn, Matthew, Courtney, Amanda and Delaney. Brother Wendell “Jerry” Anderson (Jean) of Omaha, NE and sister-in-law Karen Collins of Green Bay, WI, and many nieces and nephews.Sharon graduated from Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Iowa in 1959. She moved to Omaha where she met her husband Dick and they married May 12, 1962. They relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where they called home and raised their family, then retiring to Fort Myers, FL where they enjoyed golfing with many friends at The Forest Country Club. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always putting others before herself.In keeping with her wishes, a cremation will take place with a mass to be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m., St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Road, Fort Myers, FL 33908.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association in her memory at: http://honor.americanheart.org/goto/SharonOleksa.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
