Sheila Marie Cozza's Obituary
Sheila Marie Cozza, age 67, passed away peacefully with he loving family by her side on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida after a 12 year battle with Alzheimers Disease. Born in Somerville, New Jersey and raised in Bound Brook New Jersey, she is survived by her husband Robert J. Cozza, her daughter Rebecca Lamb and her husband Joseph; grandson R.J.; brother Robert Jannone and sister Darlene Coats; sister-in-law Kathy Bolmer and her husband Kurt and nieces and nephews.After graduating from Bound Brook High School in 1967 she went immediately to work for New Jersey Bell, later Verizon, for 32 years before retiring in 1999. Sheila was an active member in the Brick and Brick Memorial High Schools Fine Arts and Drama Guilds. She was also an inaugural member in the Brick Memorial Athletic Hall Of Fame.Moving to Cape Coral, Florida in 2003 Sheila became an officer in the New Residence Club where she enjoyed the friendship of many members, several becoming extended family. Sheila enjoyed her pet pugs “Sammy” and later “Ace” while taking in the view from her lanai looking down the canal.A Visitation for Shiela will take place from 2:00 -4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service celebrated by Fr. Jay Raju of Saint Andrew Church will follow the Visitation at 6:00 PM also in the Funeral Home Chapel.
