Shirley Joan Fykes' Obituary
Shirley Joan Fykes, 76, of?áEstero, passed away October 25, 2012. She was born December 19, 1935 in Marion, Indiana and has resided in Lee County for 20 years. Shirley has lived in the Fountain Lakes community and has proudly served on its HOA board. She loved spending time at the pool as she was an avid swimmer. She was also a proud graduate of St. Josephs College having earned a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Shirley spent her entire career as a school nurse for the Marion Community Schools System where she also was a cheerleading coach for many years. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son, Bradley Fykes (Nancy) of Fishers, Indiana. Also survived by her grandchildren, Molly Moldovan, Auston and Tory Fykes. She was sadly predeceased in 2006 by her husband, Russel Fykes and her son in 2005, Greg Fykes ( Tracy). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the community center of Fountain Lakes. The memorial will begin at 3 PM. There will also be a memorial service in Marion, Indiana to be determined at a later date.
