Shirley Marilyn Hogen's Obituary
Shirley Marilyn Hogen, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019. She was bornApril 2, 1930 in Sharon, PA to Charles L. and M. Bernice (Anderson) Hogen. She retired as a school teacher, teaching for in the Ohio Public Schools for 27 years and in Florida for the Lee County Schools for 13 years and also served as the church choir director for First United Methodist Church of Cape Coral. She was a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Along with her enjoyment of music, she loved boating, both power and sail, traveling in her motor home where she visited 49 states as well as all Canadian ProvincesMrs. Hogen is survived by several nieces and nephews Scott Spaulding, Calvin Spaulding, Walter Spaulding, Andy Spaulding, Vance Hogen, Bill Hogen, Terri Carrick and Nancy Peroult as well as her brother in law, Ralph Spaulding.Funeral services will be conducted at: 1:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2019 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
