My 1st Memory of Sid was when I introduced myself to him while he was waiting on the steps of Student Athletes service area on state street. I suspected then that he also had a Danish background and could quickly tell from the accent that he was also Canadian. From there we became roommates for the 1967-68 school year, and all the fun we had going to campus together and the return home after an evening of studying. Sid at the Student Union Coffee House and me at the Library.
Also going to the Gymnastics Gym and watching the Gymnasts working out and myself being able to work out with them in preparation for my Hockey season. There are so many other fond memories while we were at Michigan, too many to mention them all. Then later in life, visiting Diane and Sid with Murray and going sailing in the Cat, and Sid jumping out and waterskiing bare foot, with me as the pilot.
Then again later in life, reconnecting with Diane and Sid, and introducing them to my wife and 3 children and the incredible times we all had together on our 2 visits to Florida. Also, their visits to Montreal, though too brief, are fond memories.
Last but certainly not least was the Michigan Homecoming weekend of 2019. To see Sid's involvement in the new Kinesiology building, to spend the time together on campus, and to get to go to the football game one more time.
Thanks for a friendship that was always there and memories that always will be.
