Sidney J. Rubinstein's Obituary
Sidney J. Rubinstein, 81, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away August 28, 2017 at Hope Hospice of Lehigh. Graveside service will be held at a later date after Hurricane Irma passes, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Hope Hospice or ASPCA. Sidney was born July 4, 1936, in Boston, MA, the son of Harry and Shirley (Block) Rubenstein. On November 19, 1976, he married Margaret Burns in Salem, MA. Sidney was an orthopedic technician and orthoptist. He was past president of National Association of Orthopedic Technologist, past president, of New England Society of Orthopedic Technologist. During his leisure time he enjoyed music and listening to concerts, sitting on his lanai, and spending time with his family. He also loved clowns and taking care of his dogs. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; children, Ronda E. Shaw and her husband Gordon of Truckee, CA, Barry J. Rubinstein and his wife Dorrie of Bradenton, FL, Terry J. Grimm and her husband Michael of Hillsboro, OR, Debra B. Dulong and her husband Jim of Perry, GA, Neysa H. Boldin and her husband Adam of Stuart, FL; step-son, Charles Burns of North Fort Myers, FL and eleven grandchildren. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Sidney.
