Sol Winer's Obituary
Sol Winer, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was born July 20, 1921 in St. Paul, MN and moved to Fort Myers from Edina, MN in 1987. While in Minnesota, he was a franchisee of McDonalds and Burger King Restaurants. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific from 1941 – 1945 in Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.Mr. Winer is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jessie Winer of Fort Myers; three children: Steven Winer (Linda) of Fort Myers, Rollie Fischer of Fort Myers and Debra Gordon (Irwin) of Cape Coral; one brother, Sidney Winer (Gerri) of St. Paul, MN; two grandchildren: Jane Abbott and Cheri Yochelson (Dan) and three great-grandchildren: Samantha, Josey and Scott.
