Stanley ?Ç£Ross?Ç¥ MacLaren, 74, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, passed peacefully away at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral on Thursday, April 28, 2011, one day before 75th birthday.?á Stan was born April 29, 1936 in North Lake, Prince Edward Island, Canada.?á He came to the United States when he was 16 years old and settled in Canton, MA and became a naturalized US citizen in 1963.?á He married Judith in 1966, after which they resided in Hanson, MA for many years.?á Stan worked 37 years as a Union Carpenter Local 218 in Boston, MA before retiring to Cape Coral, FL which was his life long dream.?á He enjoyed his retirement by playing cards with his friends, visiting with his many grandchildren and he was an avid bowler.?á Stan was a true friend to many.?á He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Judith;?á sons, Stanley Ross, Jr. (Nicole) of Canton, GA, Stephen Douglass (Patricia) of Temple, NH;?á daughters, Melanie Jeanne (Scott) of Quincy, MA, Melinda Jo?ÇÖann (Mike) of Sacramento, CA, Maureen Creedon of Sandwich, MA, Michele Creedon of Raynham, MA and 14 loving grandchildren.?á He is also survived by by his loving mother-in-law Josephine Palkens and his brother Robert Brown of Washington State and his sister Patricia O?ÇÖConnor of Salem, MA.?á Stan was always someone you could count on, talk too and look up too?Ǫhe will be truly missed.
