Stanley Viner's Obituary
Stanley Viner passed away on June 4th, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 4th, 1934, son of Maxwell and Thelma Viner. He was a beloved husband, loving father, caring and Youth coach.
Stanley graduated from Western Hills High School and earned his teaching degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He funded his education through a football scholarship. They won the championship during his football career there. He was compassionate and caring with the people and students he interacted with. His own youth was no joyride.
For many years, Stanley tirelessly coached high school sports for the various schools he was employed at. He coached wrestling, track and field sports, and his beloved football. Stan made a lasting impact on countless individuals. He fought for the athletic programs to be kept in the Cincinnati School districts. People respected him for standing up for the students. He made a lasting impact on countless individuals.
Stanley also had real estate licenses in Ohio and Indiana. Thanks to his business sense, my brothers and I were able to experience various types of homes. Mom used to ask him "Well Stanley.. Should I unpack or leave everything in the boxes,"' with a smile of course. His wife Shirley Viner, passed away a couple years ago after 64 years of marriage. Their love story remains an inspiration to all of us.
Stanley Viner's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched as a dedicated teacher, coach, and businessman. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club, Eagles, and Moose Club. His warm smile, kind heart, and genuine interest in others endeared him to all who new knew him. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled.
Stanley is preceded in passing by his parents, and his wife Shirley Anne.
He leaves his loving memory with his survivors, wife Judith, daughter Michelle, sons Robert and his wife Melissa, son Scott Viner, grandchildren Shelby, Stephanie, Casey, Jason, Alexandria, cousin Beverly Coventry, and good friend Gary Simpson.
