Stephen Douglas Ayers' Obituary
Stephen Douglas Ayers, 68, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since 2017, formerly of Stow, OH passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2020. He was born May 5, 1952 in Akron, OH to the late Richard and Margaret Ayers.
Steve retired from Ford Motor Company and was a beloved member of The New Apostolic Church. He could light up a room with his blue eyes, charm and quick wit. He doted on his companion pups Roxy and Bella. Above all Steve loved his family and friends, he couldn’t wait to share photos of all his grandkids. We will carry him in our hearts forever.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Diane Knight of North Fort Myers, FL; three children, Kelly Gary and her husband, Bruce of Louisville, KY, Stephanie Wojtowicz and her husband, Dennis of Akron, OH and Benjamin Ayers of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; three brothers, Michael Ayers, Robert Ayers and Donald Ayers; 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Madelyn, Ashley, Robert, Ryan, Brittany, Paige, Bailee; as well as 11 great grandchildren, Dylann, Colton, Liam, Wyatt, Emerson, Avery, Landon, Abel, Callum, Scarlett and Eli.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date in his hometown of Stow, Ohio.
