Stephen Frank Dancsec, Jr., passed away Monday, December 13, 2010.?áHe was born January 22, 1929 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.?áHe came to Fort Myers in 1990 from Sayreville, NJ.?áHe was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a former member of the VOICE (Volunteer Observers Impacting Community Effort) with the Lee County Sheriffs Office.?áAs a senior in high school, Stephen joined the Naval Reserve.?áHe then served in both the Navy and the Army. He is survived by his lovely wife of 60 years, Rosamond; sons, Stephen F. Dancsec III and his wife Karen of Naples, James Dancsec and his wife Debbie of Fort Myers; daughter AnnMarie Koppenhoeffer and her husband Ken of Charlottesville, VA; sister, Arline Frazee of Fort Myers; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.?áHe was deeply loved and will be missed by all. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?áFuneral will be Friday at 12:00pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2157 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers.?áInterment with military honors will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be St. Jude?ÇÖs Children?ÇÖs Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
