Stephen Emmett Johnson's Obituary
Stephen Emmett Johnson of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away in his home unexpectedly Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was 53. Stephen was born May 13, 1963 in St. Petersburg, Florida, the youngest of three sons of Dr. William McDonald Johnson and Martha Still Johnson. He attended Canterbury School of Fort Myers for grades 1 through 8 before transferring to Bishop Verot High School where he was a proud graduate. He was the owner/operator and chef of the Fowler Street Restaurant for over 13 years. After the restaurant closed, he began working as a mail handler with the United States Post Office. Stephen is survived by his mother, Martha Still Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida; his father, Dr. William McDonald Johnson of Lakeland, Florida; two brothers, William Alexander Johnson (Robin) of Newland, North Carolina and Dr. Charles David Johnson (Kathryn Stangl) of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Joseph D. Johnson (Jaime) and their son, Eric; Hannah Elizabeth Johnson and Rebecca Jean Johnson. Funeral Services are private at the convenience of the family. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
