Gail, Elizabeth, and Jon:
I am saddened to hear of Steve's death. We met through Gail's business related work contact, in the late nineties (around the time of the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta). Our business relationship blossomed into a personal one and although we met infrequently, after I moved away from ATL, in 2001, we maintained contact. My wife and I, visited Gail and Steve in their beautiful FIRST home in Florida - must have been in 2015. Gail was/is ebullient and so vivacious.
Steve was the quiet one, but whenever he contributed to a conversation, it was well considered and oftentimes humorous. His smile was so endearing, at least to me. I am sure that he used this to capture Gail, who he loved so well, over a 60 year relationship. I realize that I will NOT see Steve again, and this is VERY sad.
My condolences to the entire family, at this time of grieving. I pray that you will be surrounded by friends and loved ones with the wisdom to provide comfort, at this time. Whatever, your emotions, know that it is all right to feel them. May the Lord, be with you all, at this time.
