Steven Gene Schenck's Obituary
Steven Gene Schenck, 64, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away, Monday, March 03, 2014 at HealthPark Hospice House of Fort Myers. He retired in 2006 as a logistics analyst with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank after 40+ years with the company. Steven enjoyed gardening, going to the movies and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1473 of Celina, OH. In addition, Steven was a 24 year survivor after receiving a donor kidney from his father at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1950 in Dayton Ohio to Wesley and Phyllis Richards Schenck. In addition to his parents, Steven leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 44 years, Janice Merritt Schenck; his brother, Gregg (Elise) Schenck; his sister, Susan (Dale Herzog) Gardner; his sister-in-law, Phyllis Conwell; his brother-in-law, Jerry (Debbie) Merritt; his favorite cousin, Connie (Fred) Fagg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Steven also leaves behind his beloved dog, Lucy. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials are made to Hope Hospice House 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or National Kidney Foundation Finance Department 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
