Susan B. Carroll's Obituary
Susan Eileen (Brooks) Carroll peacefully passed into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ on February 15, 2022. She was 75.
Born in Fort Myers in 1946 to Affie and Dorothy Brooks, Susan always had an indomitable spirit. Despite suffering from dystonia, which led to five life-saving brain surgeries as a young girl, Susan lived a full life devoted to her faith and family.
After graduating from Fort Myers High in 1964 she moved around Florida working in various hospitals and completing an Associate in Arts degree at Florida Junior College. While living and working in Orlando she met and married Paul, her loving husband of 49 years.
She returned to Lee County in 1979 where she and Paul raised their two children. She was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA). During the 1990s Susan served with Paul on the Lee County Young Life Board as well as several parent advisory boards for Lee County schools.
Susan leaves a legacy of love, courage and deep faith…traits she modestly shared with Paul, and modeled for us all.
She is survived by her devoted husband, her children, Jon (Betty) and Dani (TJ), five grandchildren, Riley, Jaxon, Sawyer, Madyson and Charlotte, her brother Donald (Cathy) and her nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Susan will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 9065 Ligon Court, Fort Myers, Florida 33908, (239) 481-2125.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and Young Life of Lee County.
