Susan Beth Havens' Obituary
Susan Beth Havens of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, January 1, 2015 following some recent health challenges. She was 53 years old.Susan was born on July 5, 1961 in Woodstock, Illinois and spent several years as a resident of Iowa before relocating to the Sunshine State. She was the beautiful daughter of Mary Jane (Svendsen) and Lawrence R. Hensel and on April 14, 1984 married the love of her life, William G. Havens Sr. Thee happy couple planted roots in Southwest Florida in November, 1985 and became proud parents to a son, William G. Havens Jr., who was born on March 25, 1986.Susan was a woman of varied interests who enjoyed interacting with people. She was an avid collector of Danish Porcelain and could be found on the lookout for these and other collectible items at every flea market, auction and garage sale she could find. She worked at the Eagles and Moose of Lehigh Acres and was a supporter of their many worthy community and charitable events. Susan also spent 17 wonderful years working in the busy Lehigh office of Dr. Jerilee E. Lomas, D.O.She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her husband, William G. Havens Sr.; son William G. Havens Jr. and sister Christine Hensel of Colorado. She also leaves behind many extended family members and scores of friends who are greatly saddened by the loss of her company. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Lawrence Hensel.A Memorial Service will be celebrated from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Chapel located inside the Hospice House at Hope Healthcare Services, 2701 Wings Way, Lehigh Acres, Florida 33936, (239) 482-4673.Arrangements for Susan’s final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
