Susie Elizabeth "Libby" Lawhon's Obituary
Susie Elizabeth ?Ç£Libby?Ç¥ Lawhon, 82, of North Fort Myers, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. She was born July 20, 1930 in Eagle Lake, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lawhon; her father, Carl Albritton; her mother, Lettie Laurine Craig; grandsons, Mark Willems, Jamie Roberts and five brothers. Mrs. Lawhon leaves behind five loving daughters: Darlene (Tom) Murphy, Marlene (Clyde) Willems, Colleen (Alvin) Chapman, Laurine (Larry) Belanger and Janeen (Joe) Pledger; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad had two stores: L & S #2 and Lawhon?ÇÖs Grocery. Our Mom was a true southern lady with a posture of dignity and set herself and her family on high regards with a heart of gold. ?Ç£You never know when you?ÇÖre making a memory?Ç¥. Mom would say her legacy would be how we should live our lives as if each moment has roots and will grow long after we have moved on. Friends will be received from 6 ?Çô 7:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at First Christian Church, 2061 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, with funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM. Interment in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Lee County, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
