Suzanne Lurie's Obituary
Suzanne Lurie (nee LeRoy), age 74, passed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her residence on Sanibel Island, Florida.Suzanne was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 3, 1941 to Helen Chappell and Eugene LeRoy. She excelled as an interior designer, splashing color and style in the homes and lives of her clients and friends. Her love of art was evident in everything she touched. Her passion for painting, sculpture and dance motivated each and every day of her life.Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband Henry Lurie. She is survived by her children Greg (Shannon) McDonald of Prospect, Kentucky, Ted McDonald of Fort Lauderdale Florida, Kimberly Johnson (daughter in law) of Dallas, Texas, Sally Minkow of Laconia, New Hampshire, Robert (Ralinda) Lurie of Lexington, Massachusetts, Deborah (Philip) Hale of Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, her brother Stephen LeRoy of Cincinnati, Ohio and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.Grandchildren Whitney McDonald, Caroline Mooney, Emily and Anna Minkow, Benjamin (Jen) Lurie, Elizabeth Lurie and James and Robert Hale held a special place in Suzanne’s heart.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
