Sylvia A. Stacke's Obituary
Sylvia A. Stacke, 99, passed away March 10, 2013. She was born November 14, 1913 in Newton, Massachusetts to the late Jacob and Clara (Napp) Chertkower. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Schindler and Mr. Stacke and sister Florence Rosalind Steyer. Sylvia received her law degree and passed the bar exam in 1939 but never practiced law. She also studied at MIT because she just enjoyed education. Sylvia was an editor for Random House Publishing for many years. One of her personal friends who she worked on many projects there was Theodor Suess Geisel better known as Dr. Suess.
