Teodorico A. Abiva's Obituary
Teodorico A. Abiva of Fort Myers, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 2, 2021 while a patient at Gulf Coast Medical Center for treatment of a routine medical condition. He was 81 years old.
Mr. Abiva was born in San Felipe, Zimbales, Phillippines on July 3, 1939. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was the loving husband to Helen Abiva who, sadly, preceded him in death in 2016. He leaves behind his son Ted and daughter Shari both of Longwood, Florida along with a number of extended family members and a great many others who where proud to call him a friend. He will be warmly remembered and fondly missed.
Immediate funeral ceremonies are private and cremation rites will be accorded Mr. Abiva will thereafter be laid to rest alongside his dearly departed wife Helen inside the Mausoleum located at the Field of Honor inside Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Time of this Committal Service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 19, 2021 and Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy in recognition and appreciation of his career service as a member of the Armed Forces of the United States.
