Theresa Elizabeth Novatin's Obituary
Theresa Elizabeth (Fusco) Novatin, 82 originally from Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3rd , surrounded by her loved ones in Ft. Myers, Florida.Theresa was born on her family farm in Flemington, NJ. She attended Ferris High School in Jersey City. Theresa worked at Gimbel Brothers Department Stores in New York City and spent her later years as a travel agent. She was a loving wife, mother and doting grandmother. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her favorite saying “fine and dandy, like a piece of candy”. She is predeased by her parents Stephen J. and Julia (Cinque) Fusco. Her husband of fifty-six years, Ambrose N. Novatin and her daughters Deborah A. (Novatin) Whalen and her son-in-law Jay P. Whalen, and Karen T. (Novatin) Glenn and son-in-law Albert Glenn survive her. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren Daniel Whalen, Brittany Whalen and Ian Hoffman as well as extended and close family.Theresa leaves a piece of herself in every life she touched. Everyone will miss her smile and positive outlook on life. Family and friends have stories and memories that will forever bring comfort to their hearts.A Memorial Service for Theresa will be celebrated by Deacon Anthony F. DiLorenzo at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
