Theron Devere Tuttle's Obituary
Theron Devere Tuttle of Fort Myers, FL passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his residence. He was 79. Theron was born September 22, 1935 in Holton Lake, MI – the son of the late Howard Devere Tuttle and Iola Mae Jordan Tuttle. He joined the Navy at age 17 where he excelled as a cook and baker. After leaving the navy he worked as an assemblyman at General Motors Corporation. He left GM and with his brother, opened “King Tut’s Pizza – offering exceptional Pizzas and Sub Sandwiches. After their attempt at operating a pizzeria, he settled on a career as a dry wall hanger and a carpenter. He moved to Southwest Florida to take care of his mother after his father died and continued his construction career. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Onalee Mae Hancock. He is survived by his brothers, Eric Tuttle of Fort Myers, FL and Deral Jeffrey Tuttle of Yuma, AZ. Funeral services with military honors will be held at the family’s convenience in his home state of Michigan. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
