Thomas Joseph Farrell, 82, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on July 14, 2011 at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, FL.?á Mr. Farrell was born in Manhattan, New York on December 19, 1928?á a son of the late Thomas Joseph Farrell, Sr. and Mary Kanzler.?á Tom was retired from the U. S. Navy after 25 years of honorable service to his country. Upon retiring from the Navy be was employed as a machinist with Metro North Railroad Co. a position he held ?áfor 22 years. His memberships included, VFW, American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose, B.P.O.E., Elks Lodge, the Fleet Reserve and the Irish-American Club of Cape Coral, FL.?á He was an avid history buff and loved to bowl. ?áTom was a devoted family man who dearly loved his wife and touched the hearts of everyone he ever met.?á Preceding him in death besides his parents were a brother, Gerard Farrell and sisters, Mary Farrell and Teresa Miklos. ?áHe is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Catherine O?ÇÖBrien Farrell of Cape Coral, FL.?á His children, Dale (Robert) Limiero of Cape Coral, FL, Maureen Stancarone of Bridgeport, CT, William (Diana) Cope of Rye, NY and Wayne (Dawn) Cope of Verplanck, NY;?á ?áhis grandchildren, William Limiero, Robert Limiero, Joseph Limiero, Jeffrey Limiero, Robin Raab, Nicole Stancarone, Lauren Cope, Stephanie Cope and Lydia Rivera; great grandchildren, Jeffrey Raab, Matthew Raab, Jake Limiero and Karly Limiero; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held in New York at a time to be announced by the family.?á In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL 33909.?á Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family
