When I got the idea to learn how to play guitar. Tom said he would teach me. So I brought out my guitar and said ok first lesson. Tom's first remark was you only have five strings on it. I said teach me on the five. He said let's go get a set of strings first. I did learn how to play with the instructions I got from Tom. That is the type of person Tom is. When he teaches you anything no matter what it is he would always teach you the right way. I will miss my friend dearly. George Welch
I remember the time Tom was writing a song for Pat, the song was called "you're all that I am".Tom ask for my help with some of the words….so long story short. I put the rough edges to the song and Tom put the mushy romance stuff). You see Tom didn't have it in him…. the rough that is.I have a very deep respect for Tom because he had respect for family. Family was important to him. He shared that with my family. I wish there would've been a lot more like you Tom but unfortunately there wasn't. I'm very thankful that God placed you in our family before he took you home.you're truly going to be missed by all of us in the Welch family.
