Thomas J. Kelly's Obituary
Thomas J Kelly, 69, of Fort Myers passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. Tom was born December 12, 1954 to Thomas lee and Ada Mae (Frouge) Kelly in Cincinati, OH.
Tom has called Florida his home since the 1970s. He met his beautiful bride, Tonya, at the First Assembly of God, and was married in 1976. Over the years they sang together in multiple musicals, church choirs, and praise groups. Tom directed praise and worship groups at their church. He then went back to school and received his BA in pastoral counseling, after which he received a job with Teen Challenge of Arizona, directing the men’s center. Tom and Tonya moved back to Florida with their two daughters after five years in Arizona, where Tom then continued his previous nursing career. They continued to be involved in ministry at Centennial Park and Summit Church for many years. His favorite activities included watching Nebraska football, fishing, and being around his family.
Tom leaves with loving memory of his wife, Tonya, along with his brother, Don. His two precious daughters, Hope and Holly, and six grandchildren, Heaven, Taryn, Isaiah, Micah, Gisselle, and Nathan.
Tom's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the tender care of his final arrangements. There will be a celebration of life held in Thomas' honor on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10AM held at Summit Church- University Campus 19601 Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33913
