Thomas H. Towers' Obituary
Thomas H. Towers of Fort Myers Beach, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, July 31, 2023 while receiving care at Health Park Medical Center for some recent health challenges. He was 76 years old.
Tom was born in Mineola, New York on January 8, 1947, the proud son to Anita (Christy) and Frank A. Towers. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a longtime employee for the City of Hempstead, New York where we served as a Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor for the two municipal golf courses. He was also an avid boater both in his native New York and in Florida, his chosen state for retirement. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Margarete (Vecchiarelli) Towers, many loving family members and an untold number of friends he made along life's journey. He will be always warmly remembered and fondly missed.
A Funeral Service for Tom will be celebrated by Pastor Graham Stein at 12:00 Noon inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Visitation will take place in advance of this ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel and all are welcome to attend. At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Tom will be laid to rest inside his crypt at the Mausoleum located within the Garden of Peace.
