Thomas Francis Winters Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas Francis Winters, Jr., beloved father, friend, and community member, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on December 9, 1933, Tom lived a life marked by quiet joy, enduring love, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that made each day meaningful. Whether he was solving puzzles alongside Pat and Vanna on Wheel of Fortune, savoring oysters Rockefeller at the restaurant he and his late wife, Cecile called their special place, or delighting in a fresh batch of homemade gluten-free donuts, Tom found happiness in the everyday.
A longtime member of the Heron Glen Chorus, Tom lent his voice and his heart to the group’s seasonal productions. Though he often preferred to work behind the scenes, his presence was felt in every harmony and every moment of camaraderie shared among fellow singers. His dedication and warmth helped shape the spirit of the chorus, and his contributions will be remembered with gratitude.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Linda Miskiewicz and Kim Woulas (Bill); grandchildren, Karalyn Woulas, Christina Sargent (Justin), Alex Woulas, Eric Hopkins (Alexis), Emily Hopkins, and Adam Hopkins (Meg); great-grandchildren, Abner, Alton, Logan, Peyton, Alex, William, Elizabeth, Katya, James, Elijah, and Coralia; and sister, Mary Ann Townsend (Bob). He was preceded in passing by his loving wife of 70 years, Cecile Winters; his parents, Thomas F. Winters, Sr. and Margaret Roth Winters; and children, Lawrence Marc and Dawn Lee Winters.
Tom’s life was a testament to devotion—devotion to his family, to his community, and to the memories he built with those he loved. He is reunited now with his beloved wife, whose memory he honored with every visit to their favorite table and every note sung in her absence.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and fondly remembered for his gentle humor, his steadfast kindness, and the way he made even the smallest traditions feel like celebrations.
