Tracy Lee Maatsch's Obituary
Tracy Lee Maatsch, 68, a Lee County resident since 1990, formerly of Michigan passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born in Lansing, MI on January 22, 1951 to Jack and Patricia Maatsch, both deceased.Tracy was hard-working, very intelligent and had a wicked sense of humor. He worked for Scanlon Lexus as the service department parts manager until he retired in 2004 and has remained part of the loyal, Lexus family. Tracy and Kathy owned a beautiful home in Newport, RI where they resided in the summers and a house on the water in Matlacha during the winter months until they made Matlacha, FL their year-round home a couple years ago. Tracy could usually be found wearing a Columbia fishing shirt while he enjoyed fishing the local waters and catching crab in his crab traps. Tracy couldn’t sit still. He always had a project going and was quick to offer help to neighbors and family. He was a car aficionado and he was a master in the kitchen. Tracy loved animals, he loved his son John and his best friend, his beloved, Kathy.He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kathryn Maatsch of Ft. Myers, FL; one son, John Joseph Curran Maatsch of Fort Myers, FL; one sister, Martha Albano (Frank) of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Jonathan Maatsch of Miami, FL; two adored cats, Coco and Chanel; as well as many extended family members and friends.A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
