VAN E. O?ÇÖLYNN APRIL 8, 2010 ?á ?á Our husband, dad, & grandfather, Van O’Lynn 78, of N. Fort Myers, FL, went home to be with the Lord April 08, 2010. He was born January 14, 1932 in Huntington, WV.He was very proud to be a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy, with the UDT’s who were prior to the SEALS.After an honorable discharge, he returned home to Huntington, WV and worked at Kaiser Aluminim Chemical Plant until he retired and moved to Fort Myers, FL.He volunteered with the Civil Defense Diving Team and helped in the rescue of many during the fall of the Silver Bridge in Pt. Pleasant, WV.He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 56 years, Janice; sisters Blanche Elliott, and Gloria Moncer; daughters Karin Clarkson (Don), Kimberly Taylor (Rick), Vanessa Finney (Dave), Heather O’Lynn; grandsons Troy Macias (Jennifer), Dakota Finney, Gavin Adorno; grandaughters Neisha and Tasha Taylor, Jade Holley, Shyanne Finney.A celebration of Van’s life will be held with a memorial service April 17, 2010 at 11:00 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL.
