Velena Althia Porchea, 45, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2017, formerly of Rochester, NY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born October 12, 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica.
Velena is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Terris L. Porchea of Cape Coral, FL; three children, Ashley Porchea, Desena Porchea and Rebekah Porchea all of Cape Coral, FL; her parents, Melton and Coleen Bennett of Port St. Lucie, FL; two brothers, Rodger Bennett of New York and Ryan Bennett of Port St. Lucie, FL; mother-in-law, Aphelia Porchea of Rochester, NY; one aunt, Charmaine Reid; three uncles, Jerome, Norman and Shelton; one sister-in-law; three brothers-in-law; a very dear friend, Theresa Wilson; as well as many numerous cousins, extended family members, friends and coworkers.
A Funeral Service will be held 12 NOON, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Word of Life Ministries, 6111 South Pointe Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33919. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until the service at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
