Velma C. Watkins' Obituary
Velma C. Watkins of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday, April 28, 2023 following some recent health challenges. She was born in Hilltop, Kentucky on October 21, 1934 and was the beautiful daughter to Grace (New) and Leland Coffey and was also the devoted wife to Glenn Watkins and sister to James Coffey both of whom who sadly preceded her in death. Velma was 88 years old at the time of her passing.
A Funeral Service for Velma will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends are welcome to gather for a half-hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 10:30 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these services, friends and family in attendance will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Velma will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband Glenn inside their Crypt located at the Mausoleum inside the Garden of Peace.
