Vera Barsky's Obituary
Vera Barsky, 94, of Estero, passed away January 31, 2013. She was born July 8, 1918 in Camden, New Jersey to the late David and Anne (Cornblatt) Weisner. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband Abe who she was married to for over 60 years. Vera came to Lee County last October from West Palm Beach, Florida where they moved to in the early 80’s. She was Jewish and loved to create beautiful oil paintings. She was a devoted sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Vera was a volunteer at Deborah Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Left to cherish her memory are her companion, Jack Kohn; sons, Bruce Barsky and his wife Sheila of Fort Myers and Neil Barsky and his wife Lynn of Lincoln, California; brother, Martin Weisner and his wife Ellen of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Cara, Heather, Keith and Brett; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Addison, Dakota, Alexis and Gabriel. There will be a funeral service on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Graveside Service and interment will be in Rydal, Pennsylvania in May TBA. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org.
