Victor M. Hernandez's Obituary
Victor M. Hernandez (Navarro), 80, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away at home attended by his family at his side on March 8, 2026. He was born on January 24, 1946, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, to the late Herminio Hernandez Navarro and Rafaela Hernandez. He moved with his family to Youngstown Ohio in 1954.
Victor loved fishing, Nascar and spending time outdoors enjoying time in the sun. He moved to Florida’s gulf coast shortly after his marriage to Carol and remained there until his passing.
He is survived by his six children, Victor M. Hernandez Jr., Yvette Hernandez, Miguel (Lisa) Hernandez and two stepsons Anthony ( Kjirsten) Gianfrancesco and Mark Gianfrancesco, Three Loving Sisters, Seven Beloved Brothers, many Nieces and Nephews as well as many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren all of whom will carry forward special memories of time spent with him in love and gratitude.
Victor was preceded in death by his Wife Carol Hernandez, Both of his parents, three Brothers Louis, Peter and Edwardo and two grandchildren Marquisa Tyson and Mark Gianfrancesco Jr. He will be remembered as a caring and loving father, brother, and friend. His life was rooted in the deep bonds he shared with his family and the values instilled in him from his Puerto Rican heritage.
All services will be held at the convenience of the family who have chosen a private service of internment for Both Victor and Carol in Florida and a Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on April 18th at the O.C.C.H.A. hall in Youngstown, Ohio.
Victor’s life and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
