Victoria Helen Nikander's Obituary
Victoria Helen Nikander (nee: Bujanowski) of Hinesville, GA and formerly of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Jesup, GA. She was 82. Victoria was born November 12, 1931 in Amsterdam, NY to the late Chester T. Bujanowski and Winifred Rogozynski Bujanowski. She worked and retired as an Executive Secretary with General Electric Corporation in Schenectady, NY. After retiring and moving to the Fort Myers area August 1, 1980 she worked for the Goldberg Law firm and Golden Insurance Co. She was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Fort Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred W. Nikander (1990) and her brother, Chester J. Bujanowski (2013). Victoria is survived by her sister, Frances Tollner of Cortland, NY; stepdaughters, Barbara and Sharon; several step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A special thank you goes to her niece, Joylyn, who took care of Victoria and with whom she recently lived. She will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1pm Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 2157 Cleveland Avenue Fort Myers. Entombment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
