Vincent A. Bellino's Obituary
Vincent A. Bellino, 87, of Cape Coral, passed away February 15, 2013. He was born May 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Fortunato and Maria (Carvelli) Bellino. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 4 brothers. He retired as a Major from the United States Army after 20 years of honorable service. He then retired as Deputy Chief of Logistics for the Army after 21 years of service. Vincent moved to Lee County in 2009 from Hanover, Pennsylvania. He was a Faithful Navigator with the Knights of Columbus in Carteret, New Jersey. He enjoyed cars, baseball and loved his family very much. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Hertha; children, Maria Schlesier and her husband John of Cape Coral, Barbara Bellino of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Vincent Bellino and his wife Jean of Carteret, New Jersey, Diana Schumm and her husband David of Cape Coral, Joseph Bellino and his wife Sharon of Richmond, Texas and Julia Bellino of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey; sister, Lena Mannarino of Brooklyn, New York; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 19th at 11:30 am also at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
