Vincent J. Limatola, 82, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 1993, formally of Greenwich Village, New York, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born February 17,1937 in New York, NY to Michael and Angelina Limatola, now deceased.Vincent was a radio controller on the boats in the Navy for four years. Thereafter, he was a sheet metal worker, in Local 28 in New York City for over 30 years. During his retirement Joan and Vincent moved to Long Branch and then to Fort Myers, Florida. Vincent enjoyed watching football with his sons, loved eating Italian food at different restaurants with friends and family, playing cards and watching his family grow.He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Limatola of Ft. Myers, FL; two sons, Michael Limatola of Barnegat, NJ and Caesar Limatola of Ft. Myers, FL; one sister, Carmela Perrucci (Fred) of East Rutherford, NJ; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Cassandra, Nicole, Brittney, Vincent, Danielle, Erica and CJ; as well as five adored great grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Zoey, Scarlett and Jackson.A Memorial Service with Military Honors from the United States Navy will be held 12 NOON,Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM up until the service time on Wednesday. A reception will follow at the Colonial Family Center which is on the funeral home property. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in loving memory of Vincent J.
