Vinh Lu Phung's Obituary
Vinh Lu Phung, 85, of Fort Myers, Florida - USA passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025. Vinh was born June 27, 1939, in Hoa Binh - Bac Lieu, Vietnam to Cam Van Phung and Niem Thi Nguyen.
Vinh lived in Saigon and Phuoc Binh - Thu Duc, Vietnam before immigrating to California with his mother, his wife, and 4 children on May 6, 1993. He was well known in Phuoc Binh as a good and disciplined French language teacher for 15 years, and many students still remember him today. He loved to read newspapers and books and to eat his favorite and delicious Vietnamese food.
He instilled good characters and habits into his 4 children at an early age that made them successful and happy today. He loved his wife and was grateful to her the most.
He is survived by his wife Chanh Kim Thi Ngo, his children and in-law Vong Lu Phung (son) and Ngoc Quach, Van Ngo Nguyen (daughter) and Thai Nguyen, Vuong Lu Phung (son) and Thu Anh Vu, Vi Siewert (daughter) and Alex Siewert, and his grandchildren Annie Phung, Victor Phung, Bauer Ly, Noah Nguyen, Viet Thien Phung, Thien My Phung, and Matthew Asaro.
Vinh's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907) with the tender care of his final arrangements. There will be a visitation for Vinh on Friday, May 30 ,2025 from 9AM -12PM.
