Violet Smith Dunford's Obituary
Violet Smith Dunford 90, of Cape Coral Florida, formerly of Smith Mountain Lake , Virginia, went to her eternal mansion, June 29, 2018. She was born July 24, 1927 to the late Willie N Smith and Alma R Smith of Lynchburg, Virginia. She graduated from EC Glass High School in 1943 and retired from CSX Railroad, Clifton Forge, Virginia in 1976. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Garbee and Barbara Arrington of Virginia. Violet was married to Carl Edward Dunford for 47 years. She is survived by two daughters, Holly Munson, son-in-law Richard L. Munson and GrandDog, Princess Valerie Lynne of Cape Coral, Florida and Linda Proffitt and GrandDog Pepper Proffitt of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Jessica Boettger and husband William and Julie Ozmar and husband Walter, two great grandsons, Brandon Gunn and Stephen Gunn and Morgan, great great granddaughter Peighton Gunn all of the Richmond, Virginia area. Violet was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral and a resident of the Gulf Coast Village Retirement Home. She was an awesome lady that loved life. She will be sadly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, July, 24, 2018 at 1 PM at the Gulf Coast Village Retirement Home, Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, Florida.
