Violet (Vi) Marie Martin – 89 Violet (Vi) Martin, formerly of Blue Earth, MN passed away Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 in Ft. Myers Beach, FL. and now is with her heavenly father for eternity. A memorial gathering will be held January 15th, 2016 in sunny Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Violet (Sanders) Martin was born August 1st, 1926 and grew up in Los Angeles before uniting in marriage to George (Bud) Martin of Blue Earth in 1945. In 1947 Violet joined George in taking over the family business and running the White House Dining Room & Brass Rail Lounge in Blue Earth for 48 years. Vi served and prepared excellent food for many who visited from all over the world. Vi raised 4 children with Bud in Blue Earth after building their primary home in 1947. Vi enjoyed traveling, cooking, bible study, writing and socializing with her many friends all over the country. Vi was heavily involved in the church and had a passion for praising and spreading the word of the Lord to so many close to her. Vi was preceded in passing by her husband, George (Bud) (2011), her parents, and son, Raymond (2013). She is survived by daughters, Debra Gack of Ft. Myers, FL, Shari Templin of Apple Valley, MN, Kirt Martin of Idaho, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
