Virgil Arnold Whipple Jr's Obituary
Virgil Arnold Whipple Jr. of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was 50 years old.
Virgil was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 19, 1971, the proud son to Rosemary Therese (Ryan) and Virgil A. Whipple Sr. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Virgil was also a tradesman who specialized in large digital sign structures, but big or small, he could fix anything you put in front of him. He was a kind, caring, big hearted practical joker who loved to make people laugh.
Virgil leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother Rosemary T. Whipple of Lehigh Acres and his treasured children Meagan West and her husband Rory West, Stephanie Whipple, Virgil Whipple III, Nicole Poundstone and her husband Nick Poundstone, Christopher Whipple, Rebecca Whipple, Jessica Whipple, Trina Whipple and David Whipple. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his brothers Scott Whipple and Michael Ryan. Sadly, he was preceded in passing by his father Virgil Whipple Sr. of Fort Myers and sister Laurel Bradshaw also of Fort Myers. Virgil will be frequently and warmly remembered by everybody he knew.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virgil will be celebrated by Fr. Augustine T. Obour at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2133 Heitman Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901, (239) 334-2161. At the conclusion of Mass, family and friends will travel in procession to Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555 where Virgil will be laid to rest in the Valparaiso Garden section.
