Virginia Brodbeck's Obituary
Virginia Brodbeck, age 92, died peacefully in Fort Myers on Thursday, January 1st, 2015. Ginny inspired and touched the lives of many with her kind heart and strong spirited ways. She is preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her sister, daughter and son and their spouses, two grandchildren and their spouses, two great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved deeply.Ginny welcomed all who visited, was the first to enjoy a nice meal among friends, and showed grace to all she met. Her peaceful and eternally optimistic nature touched everyone she encountered. She loved to travel, visiting family and friends and exploring new places. Ginny was a life-long learner, always reading and engaging in new topics of conversation. She served as an advocate for children and counselor to many. Her commitment to her Christian faith influenced and inspired others throughout her lifetime. She will be greatly missed but her spirit will live on in her family and friends. A small memorial service and reception will be held at 10:15 a.m., Thursday, January 8th in the Village Church at Shell Point, 15100 Shell Point Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33908. In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made to Hope Hospice.
