Virginia J. Hansen's Obituary
Virginia Janet Hansen of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, Florida after some recent health issues. She was 83. Virginia was born December 25, 1932 in Candor, New York to the late Earnest and Lillian Cook. She worked 25+ years as a Property Appraiser for Lee County. Virginia actively supported the Cultural Park Theater in Cape Coral and was a member of the American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. She enjoyed time spent with family and singing karaoke with friends. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Don Hansen and three brothers, Gene Cook, Junior Cook and Jim Cook. Virginia is survived by her two children, Kenneth Wright and Margaret Gaynem; her sister, Carol Morgan and a brother, Charles Cook. She is also the loving grandmother to several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Immediate funeral ceremonies will be private.
