Virginia Catherine Kloiber's Obituary
Virginia Catherine Kloiber, 87, a Matlacha, FL resident since 1992, formerly of Milwaukee, WI passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 in Mountain Home, AR. She was born March 25, 1932 in Kewaskum, WI to Sylvester and Frances Thull, now deceased.
Virginia was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Bokeelia, FL. Virginia graduated from St. Mary’s Nursing School with a degree in Registered Nursing. She worked in hospitals and an allergy clinic over the course of her career. Virginia was an active community volunteer as a homeroom mother, a member of the school PTA, and a scout leader. In later years, she volunteered at Cape Coral Hospital as a retired nurse and was a member of the Ladies’ Guild at church. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth Kloiber on August 28, 2019.
Virginia is survived by her four loving children, Karen Kloiber (Norman Hayes) of Richmond, VA, Barbara McWilliams (Michael) of Dallas, TX, Frank Kloiber (Kathleen) of Mountian Home, AR and Kristine Blommel (Joseph) of Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren, Chelsea (Ryan), Crystal (Kyle), Christopher (Ashleigh), Kayla, Joseph (Jenna), Jay and Nicholas; as well as two great grandchildren, Gavin and Kensington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 12175 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia, FL 33922 with Fr. Jacek Mazur officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:30 AM until the service time at the church. Entombment will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 12175 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia, FL 33922 or The Cape Coral Hospital Auxiliary, Lee Health, 636 Del Prado Boulevard, Cape Coral, FL 33990 in loving memory of Virginia Catherine Kloiber.
