Virginia Lee Gish, 86, of Fort Myers, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011.?á Virginia was born March 24, 1925 in Hoskins, Nebraska and was a resident of Fort Myers since 1970.?á ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á She is survived by her sons: Jeff (Paula) and Greg (Carolyn); her sister, Jerrine (Clarence) Placek; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a multitude of nephews, nieces and cousins.?á She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Jack; her son, Jack; her grandson, Michael and her sister, Ardith Laverne Ruhlow.?á ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Virginia was a 27 year friend of Bill W., a Sister in Christ at Redeemer Lutheran Church and a Life member of the Marine Corps League.?á She was well known through her work at Royal Palm Yacht Club, Tim Salko Florist and Ruth Messmer Florist.?á Anyone who knew Mom knows of the love she had for her family, her great sense of humor and always ready to tell a joke.?á She touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3950 Winkler Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida.?á Reception in the church hall will follow immediately after.?á In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607 or Hope Hospice, Donations Dept., 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.?á Online condolences may be made at: www.fortmyersmemorial.com
